Inside Counter Sales & Yard Worker (part-time)

We are currently looking for a part-time individual to work in our Pottstown store who would enjoy assisting our customers inside at the counter as well as working outside in the yard helping our customers load and unload their vehicles and performing other tasks wherever needed each day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

INSIDE COUNTER:

• Assist customers by taking orders and accommodating special orders
• Ensure customer order accuracy by working closely with purchasing to verify order specifications before finalizing order with vendor
• Enters orders into the computer system
• Build customer rapport
• Provides customers with value-added solutions/products
• Creatively solve problems to achieve sales and customer objectives
• Assists customers in loading their product into their vehicle
• Learning and maintaining knowledge on products available
• Present a neat and professional image
• Assist in keeping facility secure
• Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required

OUTSIDE YARD:

• Pulling, filling, packing and setting up orders for delivery or pickup
• Maintain the ability to determine the status of an order at any given time
• Produce quality products to meet and exceed customer’s expectations
• Follow any special instructions pertaining to an individual order
• Receive shipments, log into inventory, maintain inventory through audits
• Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person

• Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, maintain required certification, perform vehicle safety checks and report discrepancies to supervisor; training provided
• Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently
• Process returns accurately
• Present a neat and professional image
• Assist in keeping facility secure
• Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required
• Seasonal Requirement: Assist with snow removal
• Other duties may be assigned

Open hours Mondays-Fridays between 7am-4:30pm, and must be able to work all or most Saturday mornings 7am-12pm
