DESCRIPTION:Spotlight on Understanding Local Government in Berks County\n\n\n\nDid you know that:\n\n	There are 67 counties in Pennsylvania.\n	There are 2\,560 municipalities in Pennsylvania\, including Cities\, Boroughs\, Townships and 1 town.\n	And just to make it more confusing\, there are four classes of cities and two classes of townships.\n\n\n\nAnd did you know that:\n\n\n	There is 1 city in Berks County\, the City of Reading\, which was founded in 1748.\n	There are 28 boroughs and 44 townships.\n	That means that in addition to the county\, there are 72 municipal governments in Berks County.\n	Hamburg is the oldest borough in Berks founded in 1798.  New Morgan is both the newest and the smallest found in 1987 with a population of 54.  Wyomissing is the largest borough with a population of 11\,114.\n	Spring Township is the largest township with a population of 27\,119. Robeson is the largest in terms of size at 34.1 acres.
