DESCRIPTION:Emergency Planning\n\n\n\nThis workshop will review the importance of emergency planning\, with a focus on the SARA program and Tier II reporting process. Participants will explore key principals such as roles and responsibilities\, awareness of potential risks\, and enhanced communication strategies.\n\n\n\n\n\nMegan Young-Kraft\n\nEmergency Planner / SARA Coordinator \n\nBerks County Dept. of Emergency Services\n\n \n\nMegan has been an Emergency Planner in the Berks County Department of Emergency Services for the past 8 years\, serving as a 911 Dispatcher for 3 years prior to this role. She holds an Associate?s Degree in Emergency Management and specializes in emergency planning for chemical facilities\, high-hazard dams\, schools\, daycares\, and congregate care facilities. Megan is also a Hazardous Materials Technician with the Berks County Special Operations Group. In addition to these roles\, Meg serves as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT with the Fleetwood Fire Company\, a member of the Fleetwood Recreation Board\, a member of the Eastern PA EMS Council Critical Incident Stress Management Team\, a volunteer at Char-Wills German Shepherd Rescue\, and she is also a Mom (her favorite role). Megan is a lifelong native of Berks County and has responded to numerous disasters and incidents across Berks County in several capacities over the past 16 years.
