While the number of words the average person speaks in a day can depend on age, culture, and other factors, a University of Arizona study found that most people speak around 16,000 words in a day. Each word and our delivery style can impact our ability to build healthy relationships, deliver service, and perform in workplace settings.
Good communication benefits leaders, as it is a tool that increases productivity. Good communication among coworkers means that all employees have better access to the information they need to do their jobs well. In addition, effective communication is the basis of effective teamwork.
Offered in partnership with Alvernia University, this session provides techniques, skill-based approaches, and practical examples to understand ways to increase communication skills. Participants in this class will use exercises and case examples to gain skills essential to successful communication in personal and professional settings.
