Pamela S. Gockley, Executive Director and Founder of The Camel Project, has been invited to present at the 38th Annual ATTACH Childhood Trauma & Attachment Conference, hosted by ATTACH, April 9–11, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas.
Gockley will present “Addressing Bullying Behaviors at Home," a trauma-informed session designed to equip parents and caregivers with tools to recognize early signs of bullying, understand its root causes — including trauma responses — and respond with empathy and effective intervention strategies.
The session focuses on strengthening emotional awareness, accountability, and healthy communication within families. Learning objectives include recognizing trauma-driven behaviors, applying de-escalation and communication strategies, and creating emotionally safe home environments that model respect and regulation.
The ATTACH Conference is nationally recognized for advancing research and practice in childhood trauma, attachment, and relational healing.
The 2026 theme, Healing Connections: The Heart of the Matter, brings together clinicians, educators, and prevention specialists from across the country.
Founded in Reading, Pennsylvania, The Camel Project works directly in schools and communities to interrupt bullying behaviors and prevent suicide and school violence through trauma-informed education and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy–based prevention strategies.
Gockley’s invitation reflects growing national recognition of The Camel Project’s prevention-centered approach to addressing the emotional roots of harmful behaviors.
