This introductory course prepares non-technical individuals and technology leaders on the basics of 3D printing and additive manufacturing. Participants will learn what a 3D printer is and gain a deeper appreciation of the different types of printers available today to address varying manufacturing requirements. Participants will understand the types of information that can be extracted from printers, explore recent advances in additive manufacturing as well as learn the challenges and limitations of 3D printers.
Who Should Attend?
Manufacturers, entrepreneurs and leaders will be able to benefit from developing a deeper understanding of the capabilities of 3D Printing or additive manufacturing. Crack the code and learn how 3D printing is revolutionizing the future!
Instructor
Joseph Sinclair is the founder of Solid Dynamics, LLC, a successful rapid prototyping firm in central PA. Joseph has spent years in the trenches of the Additive Manufacturing industry with positions at institutions that include Penn State’s Applied Research Laboratories CIMP-3D Facility and Imperial Machine and Tool Company. While at Solid Dynamics, LLC, he spent most of his time learning the strengths and weaknesses of his fleet of 3D-Printers to better understand where improvements could be made. This lead to the creation of Solid Innovations, LLC and the first version of what has now become PerceptEngine, the Additive Manufacturing industry’s first fully automated quality monitoring platform.
