Annual Picnic 2022 - Rain Date Instituted to 8/11

ANNOUNCEMENT 11:00 A.M. ON 8/8/22: Due to the predicted rain and lightning plus excessive heat, we want to take care of our guests in the best way. Our Picnic rain date has been activated and the date of the picnic is now Thursday, August 11th. Tickets are transferable if you can no longer make it. They are also still for sale if you or your friends now can make it. 

ANY TICKETS PURCHASED AFTER END OF DAY, 7/28/22,  WILL NOT BE MAILED BUT WILL BE AT WILL CALL UPON YOUR ARRIVAL AT THE PICNIC. **WALK UPS WILL ALSO BE ACCEPTED AND PAYMENT TAKEN AT TIME OF PICNIC (credit card only).

While the Reading Fightin Phils are away, the Chamber will play! Join us for a last blast of summer for the annual Chamber Picnic. Last year we enjoyed beautiful weather, live music, great food, and convenient parking. We can't wait for the same, and more, in 2022!
 
Not only will we continue the long-awaited 4th Annual Berks Business Home Run Derby (competition continues to grow), but we also have NEW competitions and fun to be had. Our past Home Run Derby champions include: 

• 2021 - Ben Leisawitz, Leisawitz Heller
• 2019 - Pete Rowley, Tompkins Community Bank

• Teacher's Pet (Bob Szajna, Dave Vagnoni, Caitlin Degler) - For more than 15 years, Teacher's Pet has performed your favorite hits from yesterday and today in local clubs throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and Maryland. Founding members Bob Szajna and Dave Vagnoni have been playing music together since the 1970s, as members of The Midnight Cowboys, Phil Long & The Sticky Buns, and playing alongside Dave's dad in the Shorty Long Show (their hands-down favorite).  In its current form, Teacher's Pet came together in May of 2021 when Caitlin Degler joined the band after years of Bob's hounding!  According to Dave, Caitlin has put a spark of youth into a couple of old guys.
• The Milhouse Jaz Trio featuring Mark Dolinski on bass, Mitch Milanek on guitar, Mike Vought on drums and vocals and special guest Greg Wilson on sax have been playing the local music scene and corporate events since 2016. The Trio gives their unique interpretation to a wide range of jazz standards for your listening pleasure!
