Applauding Life After 50
Berks Encore offers support services for older Berks County residents, enabling them to remain independent and enjoy a longer, fuller life. Founded in 1965 as the Berks County Senior Services Council, today Berks Encore operates six senior centers across the county.
It is likely that people will live longer, work later in life and remain independent. At the same time, the population of Berks County has become more diverse. Berks Encore has responded to these challenges. They offer a broad array of services for seniors as well as programs and activities that focus on health and wellness, aging well, and living independently.
