Spotlight on Total Experience Learning

Total Experience Learning® is an award-winning methodology that encourages interdisciplinary learning through student-led experiences. Total Experience Learning (TExpL®) provides educators with the project management framework they need to take an innovative approach to learning. With this hands-on approach, students feel engaged and empowered to pursue their interests and passions, while meeting today’s extensive learning standards. Learners develop confidence and personal agency as they see their work come to life, all while positively impacting and collaborating with local community members.

TExpL partners with more than 80 organizations including business and industry, educational organizations, agencies and foundations. In recent years, the program has also reached beyond Berks County borders, with partnerships in surrounding counties and across the United States.

In July 2024, TExpL moved all operations to Alvernia University. Located in Alvernia’s downtown in the John R. Post Center at Reading CollegeTowne, the Total Experience Learning Institute is at the epicenter of innovation for our community of learners.
