Meet our Speaker:
P. Sue Perotty
Sue retired from banking in 2002 after a 27-year career in the industry, most recently as executive vice president and head of global operations for First Union Corp., as a member of the Office of the Chairman in Charlotte, N.C. She previously served as Executive Vice President of both Meridian Bank and Corestates Bank, also as a member of the Office of the Chairman.
Following retirement from banking, Sue served as Chief of Staff to First Lady of Pennsylvania, Judge Marjorie Rendell, from 2003 through 2007. She has served on several Public Company Boards and is currently the Lead Independent Director for Global Net Lease, a $8 Billion-dollar public Real Estate Investment Trust.
Sue has served on numerous local non-profit Boards including Albright College, Girl Scouts of Eastern PA, Berks County Community Foundation, Our City Reading, the Caron Foundation Philadelphia Advisory Board, and the PAL of Reading and Philadelphia. She currently serves on the Tower Health and Reading Hospital Foundation Boards, as well as the United Way of Berks County and as Chair of the Olivet Boys and Girls Club of Reading.
She has received numerous awards for community leadership and professional accomplishments including the Athena Award, Pa 50 Best Women in Business, the Franciscan Award from Alvernia University, the Albright College Distinguished Alumni Award, the Women of Distinction award from the March of Dimes, Take the Lead Award from the Girl Scouts, and the Champion of Youth Award from Olivet Boys & Girls Club. In 2009 she was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Law Degree from Albright College, her alma mater
