The A.D. Moyer Family Story
Alex Moyer, Fourth Generation Owner
In 1939, the late Amandus D. Moyer purchased and disassembled the famed Alpine Dips wooden roller coaster at the Sanatoga Amusement Park, and hauled the lumber to his home in Gilbertsville, PA, to be sold to his customers. That home became the present location of the company's Gilbertsville headquarters, and so the legacy of A.D. Moyer Lumber began. Now in 2023, A.D. Moyer Lumber is a fourth-generation family owned and operated business spanning three counties with four locations.
Join Alex Moyer, fourth generation owner, as he shares not only the story of A.D. Moyer but how his family successfully transitioned through four generations of leadership. There are always obstacles, but when you have the right plan in place, you can overcome it all and continue to grow.
