Many volunteers are needed to provide support and job readiness assistance to our job seekers, including assistance with filling out job applications, mock interviews, and general job readiness coaching. Connections WorkR3 Mock Interview Volunteer
Task: Connections Work provides Mock Interviews training/practice with each R3 cohort at our office at 19 N. 6th Street, 4th Floor, Reading. Volunteers are given an interview question sheet and a rubric to practice interviews with the clients and provide constructive feedback. Commitment: Mock interviews occur approximately every 10 weeks. Volunteers sign up for dates in advance; 2-3-hour timeframe. Requirements: No clearances are required. Preferred background in human resources or interview skills.

The Pardon Project of Berks County helps eligible individuals with the pardon application process. This is a LIFE-CHANGING volunteer position. Pardon Coaches are trained to recognize the Board of Pardons' consideration factors and can help individuals submit their best possible pardon application. Connections WorkMother's/Father's Voice Program Volunteer
The Mother's/Father's Voice Program allows incarcerated mothers and fathers of young children to record a story on a video. The child receives the video and book as a gift from their parent. The child can then watch the video of his/her parent reading while following along in the book. Birthday and holiday cards may also be included to celebrate milestones in their child's life.
