I have always been a detailed person. There is a correct way to fold a fitted sheet, type of detailed person. I went to college in southern California as a science major with the intent of becoming a dermatologist. A mortgage, 2 jobs and the partnering hospital being in the next county over from the college left the internship unattainable and I eventually moved back home to PA where I met my husband and had 5 children.
I have extensive knowledge of skin and hair health and pay close attention to what ingredients impact the body and how. After a thyroid cancer diagnosis in 2018; I had to figure everything out. I began making my own products because I didn’t want the artificial dyes, micas, titanium dioxide, formaldehyde-releasing preservatives; Ingredients which are banned in many other countries.
I started all of the legal paperwork to create a crap-free company and dropped off a sample at a holistic nutritionist store in Wyomissing called Bee Fit and Healthy. She loved my shampoo and conditioner bars and I sold my first wholesale order the day my business license came in. 7 months later, I am in 7 different retail stores and slated to be on a TV show about my skin and scalp beneficial products and what my company stands for which airs sometime in 2026.
