About Us
The Berks County Public Libraries, as a federated library system of 19 public libraries, manages administrative and centralized support services as a department of the County of Berks. A 7 member at-large Advisory Board, appointed by the Board of Commissioners, works in collaboration with member libraries to promote life-long learning and community engagement through resource collections, technology and programming. Libraries are located in: Bernville, Bethel, Boone (Birdsboro), Boyertown, Brandywine (Topton), Exeter, Fleetwood, Hamburg, Kutztown, Mifflin (Shillington), Muhlenberg (Laureldale), Reading (4 locations), Robesonia, Schuylkill Valley (Leesport), Sinking Spring, Spring Township, Village (Morgantown), Wernersville, West Lawn, and Womelsdorf.
All libraries offer a variety of physical and digital materials, along with nontraditional collections such as Library of Things and the Accessibility & Supportive Learning Collection. Libraries provide free programming such as storytimes, book clubs, and technology assistance. Libraries provide free access to public computer stations and WiFi. Printing from public computers and wireless printing from your own device are available for a fee.
