SCHNECKSVILLE, PA - Regenerative Energy Initiative invites businesses, educators, families, students and community members to experience Net Zero energy in action during a free Open House on Wednesday, October 7, from 10 AM to 7 PM at its Net Zero Energy Building, located at 4250 Independence Drive in Schnecksville.
Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the Net Zero Energy Building and see firsthand how energy efficiency, renewable energy and smart building technologies work together in a real-world setting. Mini tours will be offered throughout the day, giving guests a closer look at the building's energy systems and the strategies used to reduce energy consumption and support Net Zero performance.
The Open House will also offer an opportunity to learn more about Regenerative Energy Initiative, formerly Sustainable Energy Fund, and its work to advance energy systems that renew, revitalize and regenerate. Visitors can meet the Regen team, explore the organization's educational learning space and learn about programs focused on energy education, financing, partnerships and innovation.
As part of the day's activities, Regen will host free electronics recycling from 11 AM to 1 PM and 4 to 6 PM. Accepted items include computers and monitors, televisions, printers, scanners, gaming systems, phones, cameras, stereos and many other household electronics. Visitors are encouraged to review the complete list of accepted and non-accepted items before arriving. Those who need to bring electronics outside the designated recycling hours can submit an advance request through the Open House webpage.
Guests visiting around lunchtime can also purchase food from the Queen V Wraps Food Truck, which will be on site beginning at 11 AM with wraps, salads, sandwiches, nachos and drinks available for purchase.
The Open House is free and open to the public, and visitors are welcome to stop by anytime between 10 AM and 7 PM. Registration is encouraged but not required for general admission. Individuals interested in a more in-depth tour during the Open House can also submit a request in advance.
