The Development Director will play a key role in driving fundraising efforts, including the planning, execution, and evaluation of JFR’s annual campaigns and donor relations programs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of nonprofit fundraising strategies, a passion for the Jewish community, and the ability to cultivate relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, and affinity groups.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in nonprofit development or fundraising, with proven success in managing campaigns and cultivating donor relationships.
- Experience in planned giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and donor stewardship.
- Knowledge of donor management databases and fundraising technology (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge and/or Bloomerang).
- Strong understanding of Jewish community dynamics and values is a plus.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, with excellent project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficient with Canva and other design tools for creating event flyers and publications.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to evaluate data and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Willingness to represent the organization at various community functions.
- Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Certifications in fundraising (e.g., CFRE) are a plus.
- Salary range: $50,000 - $65,000 annually, depending on experience.
